Development of a tap-proof smartphone

On behalf of a company with increased protection requirements in the area of critical communication content, we developed a tap-proof smartphone that meets the highest security requirements - both in technical and operational terms. The project included the complete design, development and hardening of a mobile end device based on a customized Android architecture.

In addition to complete control over hardware and software, the focus was on the secure encryption of all communication channels (voice, messaging, data) and the defense against potential attack scenarios such as IMSI catchers, zero-click exploits or remote access. Today, the device is used in security-critical environments - for example by executives, political decision-makers and internationally active companies.

Core aspects of the project work:

• Development of a hardened operating system with a controlled app ecosystem
• End-to-end encryption at device, network and server level
• Protection against radio cell manipulation and forensic analysis
• Implementation of a zero-trust communication architecture
