After a targeted security incident at a crypto exchange, we were tasked with the technical analysis and investigation of the attack. The aim was to precisely reconstruct the attack paths and determine how the perpetrators had managed to gain unauthorized access to digital assets. In addition to the comprehensive forensic investigation, we worked closely with the relevant investigating authorities to provide actionable intelligence for criminal prosecution.
An additional focus was on the security-specific review of the software solutions used, particularly with regard to encryption technologies and the trading of digital assets. We then developed a comprehensive security concept based on international best practices and the highest standards in the industry. This was implemented step by step - with clear objectives in terms of resilience, protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
