The EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) entered into force with full applicability on January 17, 2025, and introduced far-reaching requirements for financial entities and their critical third-party service providers. In this context, we supported a capital markets company operating a fully digital trading infrastructure in conducting a comprehensive cybersecurity audit. The mandate covered all business-critical functions – from client onboarding and authentication procedures to trading application access, internal process flows, and third-party system interfaces.
Our analysis extended across the entire ICT landscape, evaluating existing controls against DORA standards and identifying areas for optimization in operational resilience, ICT governance, incident response, and threat intelligence integration. By aligning the company's cybersecurity framework with the regulatory expectations of DORA, we not only ensured compliance but also enhanced the organization’s ability to withstand and recover from severe ICT-related disruptions in a highly interconnected trading environment.
